Sim's Martial Arts Journey and Vision for Affinity Dojos

Sim’s martial arts journey began at the age of 5, when she first stepped into a Karate dojo. By the age of 7, she had earned her black belt, first degree, a remarkable achievement for her age. However, it wasn’t until she discovered Muay Thai at 18 that Sim truly fell in love with martial arts all over again.

Muay Thai resonated deeply with her—its precision, flow, and powerful techniques felt like a natural fit. Sim quickly advanced, earning her black belt, second degree, and gaining invaluable fighting experience in the ring. She also had the privilege of cornering fighters, further enriching her understanding of the sport.

Sim’s dedication to Muay Thai took her to Thailand, where she trained with some of the most renowned instructors in the world, honing her skills and deepening her passion. She has also continued to learn from outstanding instructors in both Thailand and Australia, constantly evolving her craft.

With over 20 years of experience teaching self-defense, Sim’s mission is clear—helping people unlock their true power and potential. She believes that this inner strength is the ultimate power one can possess, which is why self-defense has become a core focus at Affinity Dojos.

Founded in 2018, Affinity Dojos is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds come to grow, learn, and discover their potential. Sim’s vision for the dojo is one of continuous growth and development, both for herself as an instructor and for everyone who trains under her guidance.
